The solution polymerization SBR plant of Shandong Yulong Petrochemical (Longkou, Yantai, Shandong Province, China), which we licensed in partnership with ICB in Germany, started operation in February 2025. The production capacity is 60,000 tons per year. The company has built a swing plant capable of producing a wide range of SSBR for tyres, from SSBR offering a balance between wear resistance and grip properties through a continuous polymerization process to state-of-the-art SSBR with chemical modifications providing excellent fuel efficiency and grip properties through a batch polymerization process. ETIC also provided technical assistance for the start-up and operation of the plant.
